Secondary Structure.
Roof purlins and wall transoms
The function of secondary elements in Atlas Ward structures is fulfilled by Multibeam system. It is a system of roof purlins and wall transoms of Sigma type, manufactured under license of Atlas Ward. Sigma profiles are the stiffest cold-bent profiles of the most advantageous geometry of section. Owing to these advantages, the secondary structure is able to carry a part of the loads, thus allowing for better static optimization of a hall. It means, among others, a possibility of applying greater spacing of main frames.
Accessories
As a supplement for purlin and transom systems there are systems of tubulary and apex ties, which form, along with the main floor beams, a stiff roof and wall shield. |

Characteristics of Multibeam system:
 |
quality: |
Cold-bent profiles manufactured under license Atlas Ward. |
 |
material: |
Made from galvanized steel of high strength (350N/mm 2) protected against corrosion with a layer of zinc 275 g/m 2. |
 |
load-carrying capacity and stiffness: |
They are characterized by high load-carrying capacity and stiffness at a very small deadweight. |
 |
fastening: |
They are fastened using bolts of class 8.8 to welded bolsters to steelwork structure. |

Frame elements
Window, door and gate frames are made from cold-bent profiles from galvanized steel sheet, joined with self-drilling screws.
Elements of frames are also fastened to ground beams or to floor using expansion bolts. In the case of great spacing of frames, hot-rolled elements are applied, too [channel irons or I-sections].
The manner of making a frame is individually adjusted to the opening, depending on its size and location.
